Weekly Review: Com Truise – In Decay
hey yall! this week, for the weekly review, we’re listening to In Decay, the 2012 album from Com Truise.
really dug this Com Truise record. i knew basically nothing about them going in, and was pleasantly surprised to find an extremely well crafted digital odyssey.
basically every track here bops in some way. the whole package has a very dreamlike, hazy feel, where the fuzzy mastering absolutely sells the mood.
i think if i had any criticism, it’s that the record blends in a way that removes some of the individual features of the songs – it felt very easy to drift from one song to the next and kind of lose place. i dont think thats any sort of critical flaw, and in places i think that can be a boon! but there were def some places here where i wished my feet were a lil more firmly planted.
either way, great album, and im excited to go find more from Com Truise!
