hello folks! our weekly review this week a 2017 EP from Australian punk band The Chats – Get This In Ya!

man im really glad i got Get This In Ya in me. surely thats an original way to talk about this EP, right?

i have heard the lead track and top hit off this, Smoko, before – the friend who suggested this EP to me has shown it to me before, and its fucking perfect, top to bottom. indignant, angry, and catchy, i adore this song. phenomenal.

but luckily, thats not the only thing in offer here – Nambored and Bus Money both deal with just trying to fucking get somewhere and being broke and pissed, Casualty and Left Right are angry calls against authority, and How Many Do You Do and Temperature are extremelt catchy in their own ways. particular faves amongst these are the KILLER bass in Bus Money and the very fun back end of Temperature.

extremely good set of tracks, and the writing here is tight, leading to a 15 minute EP thats packed to the brim with good licks, catchy lines, and infectious energy.

faves – Smoko, Bus Money, Temperature

Get This In Ya – 9/10
